Majora's Madness: Marquis Marlon

Time to get back in to the world of Legend of Zelda. I figured it was time to take an old character of mine and revamp him from the ground up. 

This character application is for

EDIT: Added in the Wind Boots (woth Lightning Attribute) to his inventory now that he formally purchased them. 

Name: Marquis Marlon

Race: Deku Scrub (Mad Scrub Variant)

Age: 23

Height: 3 ft.

Weight: 30 lbs.

Faction: Wisdom

Moral Standing: Neutral Good (although normally does things for the betterment, he doesn't feel beholden to them)

Personality:

• Marquis considers himself a very charismatic person. He has no qualms with approaching strangers and attempting to strike up a conversation. He also tends to think he has a good sense of humor when talking to others. Although by no means a comic relief, he'll occasionally crack a snarky response. 
• He's pretty knowledgeable about various things about the different cultures of Hyrule and Termina thanks to years of sightseeing. Some would say he's a treasure chest of useless information.
• Of course, in order to do a lot of sightseeing, he had to become knowledgeable about surviving out in the wilds. So when it comes to hunting, gathering, or making camp, he's your Deku for the job.
• That doesn't mean that he's without his flaws though. Quite possibly his biggest flaw is the fact that he bottles up his negative emotions. This may make him seem like nothing get to him, but unfortunately everyone has their limits. For him, it always seems to surface at the worst of times.
• He's also got this constant wanderlust and will not stay in one place for too long unless absolutely necessary. So he could be there one moment, and gone the next.

Backstory:

"Well, if you wish to know more about me, then I suppose there's no harm in telling you. Like most Deku, I originate from the Woodfall region. You know, the place with lots of trees and swamps? Anyways, I'm sure you know plenty about that area, so there'd be no point in explaining it further."

"As for my childhood, it was pretty average for the most part. Standard mother, father, and older brother. Though, I used to be quite the troublemaker. Not for causing fights or anything, but for the fact that I would never stay in one place for longer than five minutes. I always had a wanderlust that seemed to never be sated. Needless to say, this left my parents worried constantly."

"As I grew older, I began to take more daring adventures. Though I'll never forget the first time I ventured far enough to see Clock Town in person. Imagine living your entire life in a swamp, and then for the very first time seeing giant towers and large stone walls. When I saw that city from afar, it cemented my desire to see the world."

"Though not surprisingly, that desire for adventure nearly got me killed one time. It was about seven years ago when I decided that it would be a great idea to get a close up view of Clock Town. It also happened to be that the day I left was also the day that a terrible storm started to brew overhead. Not long after I reached Termina Field, it began to pour down raining, and of course I ended up being beset by monsters."

"I'd be dead if it weren't for a passing traveler, who used magic to save me. I remember him shooting electricity from a magic rod, instantly killing those beasts. After saving my life, he introduced himself as Allen Avadonia. Turns out, he was from Clock Town, making his way back home after visiting Hyrule. Due to the weather picking up, he decided that it would be far too dangerous to traverse the untamed parts of Woodfall in order to bring me home. I ended up achieving my goal of seeing Clock Town, though not in the way I planned."

"I'm sure that I don't need to tell you how much trouble I got in for pulling that stunt. Though, having to have been saved by Allen, and then him having to escort me back home the next day made me realize that I wasn't quite ready for the world just yet. From then on, I began to learn how to survive in the wilds out there. How to hunt, gather, and make camps... All of that. It took me a long time, but after a few years, I felt ready. Once I came of age, I immediately made the proper preparations and set out on my own. Been traveling ever since, and I don't plan on stopping any time soon."

Skills/Talents:

• He needed a way to defend himself while on his travels, so he became a pretty talented hand-to-hand fighter. Much like lightning, his strikes are quick and powerful. (To provide a good example of how he fights, think Leo from Tekken 7.)
• Can actually sing quite well, though he doesn't do it too often. Really only when he's incredibly bored and has nothing to do... or if he's drunk.
• Due to years of exploring, he's pretty good at free running.

Likes:

Dislikes:

• Desert Heat
• ChuChus (he hates the gelatinous form they have. Creeps him out.)
• Durian Fruits (ever smelled one? Disgusting)
• Willful Ignorance (that almost got him killed once. Never again will he go blindly into a situation) 
• Gambling

Fun Facts:

• He has an affinity for Hylian/Terminan culture, so if he's in any town, expect him most often at Clock Town.
• He's an incredible lightweight when it comes to alcohol, so he tends to avoid it most of the time. Keyword: Most.
• He views lightning as something not to be feared, but rather as a flash of inspiration.
• He's actually really bad at shooting deku nuts. Outside of the swamps, he never had much reason to use that ability, and so became really rusty over the years.
• He does bloom flowers. In his case, its red lilies. 
• In the pouches on his bandolier, he has plenty of tools made for taming the wilds. None of them would be of any use in combat however. 
• He actually doesn't like the feel of a blade in his hand. That's why he forgoes using a combat blade of any kind.
